Expand a Sign’s Environmental & Social responsibility pledge:

 

From our manufacturing processes to our marketing material and recycling initiatives Expand a Sign is “going green”:

·        At Expand a Sign, we have strict recycling processes in place for off-cuts and reject fabric as well as the paper used in production and the running of the business. 

·       We use only polyester fabric which is recyclable and can be re used to make plastic, concrete and new clothing. This increases landfill life and reduces toxic emissions from incinerators. 

·       Expand a Sign products are made to last and are not supposed to be readily disposable like so many inferior products on the market today. Our fibreglass and steel hardware is durable and can be re-used for multiple indoor and outdoor sales, promotions and events. 

·       In keeping with our move to become more environmentally responsible, we are doing more and more digital advertising and using very little print media. We also refer customers to our online downloads of product flyers and the full brochure.

·       All waste fabric from Expand a Sign’s banner making business is donated to to community upliftment programmes in South Africa, including Uzwelo Bags*, who use it to create unique school bags, shopping bags, sports bags and raincoats. 

·       Expand a Sign buys thousands of these school bags from Uzwelo and donates them to under-privileged school children around South Africa. Other corporate companies are also buying shopping bags and sports bags as customer incentives and give-aways.
